Countdown to RBWH Foundation Giving Day

16 May 2023

The countdown is on to RBWH Foundation Giving Day, Wednesday 14 June, with a full day of activities planned to celebrate the exceptional patient care and life-saving research conducted at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH), Queensland’s largest hospital.

The RBWH Foundation Giving Day is a 24-hour event that gives Australians the chance to say thank you to RBWH by showing gratitude and raising much-needed funds for patient care projects and life-saving research.

Thanks to the generosity of matched donors, every donation received up to and including 14 June will be doubled, including the efforts of Giving Day fundraisers.

Members of Team Royal are invited to join the broadcast fun and excitement as audience members, from 6am in the Ground Floor Foyer.

“Seven Sunrise is a fantastic opportunity to show Australia exactly why the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH) is one of the top 100 hospitals in the world,” said the RBWH Foundation CEO Simone Garske.

“We will be showcasing our excellence in patient care and life-saving research through interviews with patients and staff. We can’t wait!”

Signing up to be a volunteer on the day, assisting with a range of activities, was another great way to get involved.

Some volunteering examples:

  • Ward visits to see patients and their families
  • Collecting donations within the hospital
  • Selling leaves for the Gratitude Tree
  • Selling merchandise.

Email Alison Martin at a.martin@rbwhfoundation.com.au to register your interest.

The full program of events planned for RBWH Foundation Giving Day will be distributed in advance, so keep an eye out for your copy.

All Team Royal contributors to Giving Day not only support a great cause but also earn additional weight for their service line when RBWH Foundation grant rounds are under consideration.

From the entire RBWH Foundation team, a huge thank to everyone who joins with us in our mission to advance patient care and life-saving research at RBWH. You help us make the impossible, possible!
