A Christmas light display with heart
Twelve years ago, Vanessa and Mike Saccasan had twin sons, born at only 29 weeks gestation. Both baby boys spent time in RBWH NICU and then the special care unit. Nicholas spent two months in the hospital before being able to go home, and Thomas – the smaller of the two – tragically passed away after 6 months and 1 day in the hospital.
Each year, the Saccasan family create a spectacular Christmas light display (pictured) at their home on Brisbane's northside, to fundraise for the RBWH Foundation and give back to the hospital.
These incredible parents are truly demonstrating the extraordinary power of giving, through fundraising for the RBWH Foundation and sharing the festive spirit with their beautiful Christmas lighting display.
