In memory of Thomas James Saccasan.
Each year we display our Christmas Lights for all to see starting from the 1st of December, up to and including Christmas Eve (24th of December) from 6:30pm till 10pm each night.
This year we welcome back our walk through display, with a window display with a train, villages etc. You can donate via this page online, or in person - we will be outside with our Christmas Lights Display each night starting from the 1st of December, up to and including Christmas Eve (24th of December) from 6:30pm till 10pm each night with a donation tin and we also have QR codes available to direct people to this page.
The reason we have chosen to raise money each year for the RBWH Foundation, is that in 2010 we had twin sons, who due to complications arising from twin to twin were born at 29 weeks gestation. Both of whom spent time in the NICU first and then special care. Nicholas, the bigger twin was 1327 grams. He was in hospital for 2 months before he came home. Thomas was only 439 grams. He survived in hospital for 6 months and 1 day, however sadly passed away then, as his immature lungs were unable to develop or support his growing body. For this reason, the RBWH is very important to us, as without them we would not have Nicholas with us today.
All online donations over $2 are tax deductible and you will be issued with a tax-deductible receipt via email if you make your donation online. 100% of all money donated assist in advancing life-saving research and patient care at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, in particularly the NICU in memory of our baby twin, Thomas James Saccasan.
