I’m raising funds for the RBWH Foundation.
Oak Tree Retirement Village Burpengary are partnering with the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital to present Annie’s Aneurysm Awareness Fundraiser.
All proceeds from Annie’s Aneurysm Awareness Fundraiser will go to the Royal Brisbane Women's Hospital Foundation (RBWHF) who fund brain aneurysm research - a cause that is close to our hearts at Oak Tree Burpengary and in particular, Rose, one of our residents.
Rose’s beautiful granddaughter Annie Barnett was left fighting for her life two years ago at the age of 21, following a rupture of two brain aneurysms and a stroke. Annie was a seemingly happy and healthy young woman in the prime of her life, working part-time and studying when her life was turned upside down.
Following numerous surgeries and a lengthy recovery, Annie is now thriving. She’s finished her university degree and is working full time at the Burpengary Community Club as the Marketing Coordinator!
Annie’s mission is to bring brain aneurysm awareness to the forefront of people’s minds and inspire others with her incredible survival story.
We are hosting a High Tea Luncheon at Oak Tree Retirement Village Burpengary on May 1st. If you would like to attend, please contact Village Manager Cheryl Eklom on 0409 644 046.
Alternatively, you can click 'Donate' to make a secure online donation and help us reach our goal. Every donation, big or small will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much for your support!
