Meet David Batterham, The Bloke From Gundy.
David is setting out on The Great Journey in memory of his wife, Judy, who passed away from neuroendocrine cancer.
Over the coming weeks, Dave will cycle from Adelaide to Toowoomba, before pushing a wheelbarrow to Brisbane, raising funds and awareness for causes close to his heart. His journey will culminate at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, where Judy received care, making Brisbane the final destination of an extraordinary tribute to her life and legacy.
Along the way, Dave is raising funds for NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia, Toowoomba Hospital Foundation and the RBWH Foundation, while shining a light on the challenges faced by people living in regional and rural communities.
For Dave, this journey is a way of honouring Judy, sharing their story and supporting the organisations that helped them when they needed it most.
