Tips and Tools

Here are some handy tips to help make your fundraising the biggest and best. Remember we are here to help!

Before you start fundraising

How are you going to Fundraise?

Think of an idea that suits you. Some people like to shave their heads, others challenge themselves to run a marathon and some forego their birthday presents.

Consider fundraising as a group of friends

add remove

A team of friends can support and help each other to stay motivated. You can start a group when you register or at a later date.

After you start fundraising

Add a profile image and tell your story

add remove

Let your supporters know why you are fundraising for the RBWH Foundation.

People like to see who they are donating to so don't forget to add a profile image.

Be the first to make a donation

By donating to your own fundraising page you are showing your commitment to your fundraising and setting the benchmark for other donations.

Get the word out

Share your fundraising page with your existing network of friends, workmates or any other contacts you have. The quickest and easiest way is to share your page’s URL by email, text and your social media networks. Facebook and Twitter work particularly well for this.

A thank you goes a long way

Thank your donors for their support through your fundraising page.

Ask Again

People often need reminding. If you’ve asked your network once and they haven’t donated, ask again! They may have forgotten and won’t begrudge a friendly reminder. And don’t be afraid to ask after you’ve completed your event, almost 20% of donations come in after the challenge is over!
