Meet Emily, when heartbreak meets hope.
When Emily and Andy discovered they were expecting twins, it should have been a moment of joy. Instead, serious complications threatened the lives of both babies and turned Emily's pregnancy into a frightening medical journey. Referred to the RBWH’s Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists, the Hervey Bay couple found the expert care they desperately needed.
Her story is one of heartbreak, resilience and hope—and a powerful reminder that support for RBWH helps families facing life-changing diagnoses access world-class treatment when they need it most.

Thanks to the generous contribution of our Impact partners, all donations this Giving Day will be DOUBLED until 10 June.
RBWH Foundation 2026 Giving Day is a fundraising campaign to raise funds to advance patient care and life-saving research across RBWH, STARS, and other prestigious research Institutes and Centres at the Herston Health Precinct. From 8am, Friday 1 May 2026 to 6pm, Wednesday 10 June 2026, or until available matched funds are exhausted, donations received will be matched dollar for dollar by participating Impact Partners. Matched funds will be allocated to the campaign as donations are received. If total donations exceed or fall short of the matched amount, or if an Impact Partner is unable to fulfil its pledge, all funds raised will nevertheless be applied to the intended purpose of the campaign.
