RBWH celebrates with annual Christmas Markets

Patients, visitors, doctors, nurses and staff all gathered together to enjoy the RBWH Foundation Christmas markets on 29 November at the hospital main entrance. With lots of handcrafted Christmas gifts, food and decorations available for purchase, a great day was had, with proceeds going towards the Foundations annual Christmas appeal. 

Real estate industry supports patients across Brisbane

The RBWH Foundation joined the Mater Foundation and Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust as guests of honour at the annual Professional Real Estate Training (PRET) Awards dinner on Saturday 25 November 2023.

Thank you to PRET Australia CEO Paul Shih and his team for hosting such a successful event, with auction sales and other proceeds going to our Extraordinary Opportunities Fund.

Celebrating our babies on World Prematurity Day

The RBWH Foundation supported the Neonatal ICU (NICU) and NeoResq (Neonatal Retrieval Service) as they welcomed prematurely delivered babies and their parents to their World Prematurity Day Morning Tea on 17 November.

We

Corporate partners support Foundation at annual gala

Hospitality software company Resly generously support the RBWH Foundation WeCU Family Care program for families of ICU patients. Each year, they donate a portion of the proceeds from their "Best of Tourism Awards" Gala, which was held in October at The Star Casino Gold Coast (pictured).

Co-founder Sam Steel will also
provide an additional $10,000 donation to the Foundation in 2023 as a Christmas gift for research and patient care initiatives, on behalf of Resly staff.

Thank you event held by grateful patient

Grateful patient Nguyen “Thai” Dang (left) and his wife Diamond (middle) (pictured with Dr Siok Tey) hosted their annual thank you dinner in October providing generous donations to RBWH and PAH hospitals in honour of the nurses and specialists that saved his life as he successfully fought Leukaemia, watch Thai's incredible story.

Afternoon tea with Queensland Governor

On Wednesday 4 October, the Foundation welcomed valued donors and supporters to Government House for an afternoon reception with Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM.
