FCU Training – TTE (Metro North Staff)


Focused Cardiac Ultrasound (FCU) is a focused examination of the cardiovascular system performed by a physician by using ultrasound as an adjunct to the physical examination to recognize specific ultrasonic signs that represent a narrow list of potential diagnoses in specific clinical settings.

Convenient, affordable, and easily accessible, FCU training is located within the Department of Anaesthesia at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

The course comprise of four components:

1. E-Learning package
2. Three hour hands on workshop
3. 10 Self directed case studies on the CAE Vimedix echo simulator
4. Assessment and Completion

Program cost incorporates access to all online materials, workshop, self-directed simulator case studies, and certificate on completion.
